Mental Health and Wellbeing

Autumn 1 - Parent flyer on wellbeing

Autumn 2 - Parent flyer on wellbeing

Spring 1 - Parent flyer on social media and gaming

At the Crescent Primary School we think it is important that children, staff and families are supported with their mental and physical health and overall wellbeing.

Take a look at our Supporting Families Padlet to provide guidance in a range of areas.

We have two full time Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA) - Mrs Eldridge and Mrs Gigg.

Mrs Eldridge                                   Mrs Gigg

They offer targeted support one to one or in a small group.

Mrs Preston is our Designated Mental Health lead.

At our school we want all children to:

  • Feel confident in themselves
  • Be able to express a range of emotions appropriately
  • Be able to make and maintain positive relationships with others
  • Cope with the stresses of every day life
  • Manage times of stress and be able to deal with change
  • Learn and achieve.

We are not mental health professionals but we can support your child in school and signpost to additional agencies that may be appropriate.

Online support and guidance:

There is a wealth of advice and support available online. Here are links to specific areas of advice.

Where lack of sleep is impacting on a child’s physical and mental wellbeing, your GP may be able to refer to a sleep clinic .
